from their side bag, they pulled out another small box— wrapped like a gift in blue-silver and black. they don’t smile, but there’s an unmistakeable glint of challenge in their eyes. “wanna duel?”

I have been feverly working on a Pegasus × OC fanfic for over a month now! And I'm finally in that stage of editing where I feel comfortable any day now to start uploading chapters...

😅 By no means am I a professional writer, but this story has been living in my head "rent free" on and off for YEARS now! Ever since I fell in love with the world of Yu-Gi-Oh! And more accurately the Anime's first major antagonist from the Duelist Kingdom Arc Pegasus J Crawford (Maximillion Pegasus)

I have done STUPID amounts of research on this non-existant man; that it definitely puts me in the "crazed fangirl" category I bet. My roommates and significant others are probably tired of my rants on the show, manga and now the card game. I wish I could STFU but this appears to be my recent autism hyperfixation that noone is safe from!

Atem blinked several times before laughing out loud softly, bringing the hand he had on top of Kaiba’s to his mouth to hide his smile. Kaiba had always been blunt and honest, that part shouldn’t have surprised the Pharaoh, but the fact that he would just openly admit to making calculations about whether or not Atem would have accepted made him laugh. The man found Kaiba’s stunning blue eyes and relaxed back into the seat, replacing his hand back on top of the others, a smile still painted on his face. 

“I see. Well if you must know, I don’t have many suitors.” he teased at first then continued. 

“Not that I would have accepted anyone other than you.” Atem’s eyes fell to their hands as he flipped them over playfully, allowing Kaiba’s to top his own. His fingers caressing his rivals, enjoying the skin on skin contact. 

This was all so new to Atem and yet with Kaiba it somehow felt comfortable. Felt right? He wasn’t sure. But all he knew was that he did enjoy their company together. And the feeling on his hand on top of his own was something he could get used to experiencing. Still looking at their hands he asked, 

“So about dinner. Where are you taking us? Is it far?”

Atem couldn’t help but smile as Kaiba led the way to his very lavish form of transportation, their fingers still laced, holding on to one another. Atem had known the lay of the land when it came to courting, at least he knew how the Egyptians did it. He watched as Kaiba opened the car door for him allowing Atem to slide in first. The Pharaoh pulled his hand away reluctantly as he found his place in the back seat. 

He had never seen anything quite like it before. The inside was lit with the Kaiba Corp colors of blues and whites. The elegance of it all could rival even that of Ancient Egypt. He turned to the man. 

“I know I shouldn’t be too surprised, but this car is remarkable.” 

Atem could feel his body start to tense up as the realization of Kaiba asking him on a date came flooding back. He took a moment to breathe in deep before finding the other man’s hand again, placing his gently on top. 

“It seems you have a lot on your mind. What made you decide to ask me out today?”
